Snowmobiling in Bear Country!

So as some of you may have seen on Boos Boos' facebook page...on monday Holly and I went snowmobiling. It was amazing!!! I took me a little bit to get a hang of it, considering I have never ridden a motorbike or jet ski. I went off track a little bit out of control and managed to bog the snowmobile in thigh deep snow. Our instructor came to bail me out and thought he would scare me into understanding how this piece of machinery works, jumped on the back and doubled me around this big open field of fresh powder. It was like an EKKA ride, I was squealing like a little girl and my heart was pounding. But it did the trick...from then on I understood the concept. To turn a corner you literally had to stand on one side of the snow mobile.

We finally got to the top of one peak, which was approximately 1000 meters above see level and it was simply breath taking. And cold and windy. We could have gone higher to another peak but weather did not permit.

Our instructor was telling us that where we were exploring is bear country in the summer time. Luckily there were all hibernating somewhere! We got bogged a few more times on the way down, our poor instructor was exhausted by the end of it and so was I. Two days later and my muscles are still hurting. This was one of the most adrenaline filled exhausting and exhilarating experiences I have had. Highly recommended if you ever have the chance!
